Pantyhose and Jean Shorts: A Kind of a Hosiery Revival

There is a trend that was popular at the end of the eighties and beginning of the nineties that has come back to the fashionista world: Pantyhose and jean shorts. Back then, this is what girls did to make their legs look tanner. Generally they worn with white socks and tennis shoes to top off the look. Oftentimes more trouble than it's was worth, especially when you got a run in your tan.

In today's world, women wear pantyhose under shorts both for a practical and for a fashion purpose. Even celebrities are on this fashion trend. Lately, Katie Holmes was seen in Pantyhose With Jean Shorts coming out of her New York City Apartment.

To be honest with you, I must be still in the Eighties, since I sometimes still wear pantyhose under shorts. I remember doing this in middle school, white socks and white keds with my denim shorts. Everybody else did it too, but my prime reason was my mom wouldn't let me shave my legs yet.

I think it's OK to do, and fashion-wise, well,  getting to think about it, it might even look the best, you know? I like how they make my legs look and the nicer ones I use  and (like the Victoria's Secret brand) are comfortable to wear on a special night out. And, I also have to wear pantyhose and stockings  to work, and after working and moving around in them all day. Anyway, other women could think you should probably wear them under a skirt or dress and go for the all girly look instead of wearing them under shorts.

Well I don't wear sheer pantyhose under my shorts for fear they may run. On the other I do wear funky colored tights or leggings under shorts though! I guess I just dress crazy. Plus, I will wear hose under my shorts when I go jogging too.

I think pantyhose look cute with all lengths of shorts, but especially the shorter ones. You can wear them with those adorable little shorts that are so in style right now without showing so much skin and unsightly upper thigh-age. So if you are to enjoy the many benefits and attention from men by wearing pantyhose with jean shorts…you must be a dictator and not a follower when it comes to fashion. Heck I live on the omega and have been known to layer a pair of knee highs over my pantyhose when wearing spiked heels with jean shorts!
