How to make Pantyhose /Tights last longer ..

.
What a great invention. There are all kinds for every occasion and every need. Gloss, matte, silkenfabrics, stockings, sheer and opaque ... and even massage, cellulite, relaxing. In short there is some kind of hosiery for everyone, but ... Unfortunately, there is a but: they are delicate! YOU KNOW IT e. .. Here's a run there and the braid is ruined.

Some small steps can help you make that last a bit 'more. Things may seem a bit 'absurd or crazy, but I assure you it is not so ... First, do not ever wash them in hot water, do not rub soap directly into the hose on and let them dry in the shade only.

Before putting a new pair of pantyhose and put them in the freezer. No joke! wet them well and then rinse them gently close them in a zip lock bag and put them in the freezer. Once "frozen", immerse them in water and spread them out to dry. I know it's weird, but it works! Just try it.

Another little trick: to roll them up your legs more easily and to avoid runs, spray with some spray starch. If unfortunately the hole is already there, then we avoid it : spraying a bit  'of lacquer on the ladder or rubbing it with a wet bar of soap. Of course it would be better to use clear nail polish.

I keep a large drawer dedicated to tights, pantyhose and trouser socks/knee high hose. I arrange them with the

socks on the left, then the tights, and sheers on the right. The darker colors/blacks are in the front of the

drawer, and the paler shades are in the back. Everything is machine wahsed in little mesh bags. I keep a wardrobe of

about 25 pairs on hand – any more would be confusing. One pair of DK tights is 16 years old and still in perfect

condition. For the pantyhose, my favorite shade this year is a medium gray. I prefer no control and sandal toe. Thanks for the suggestions on how to keep your hosiery longer, I sure will try to implement the tips discussed here.
