Fashion Hosiery to wear in Spring and Mid-season

This is the season when we have sweaters and t-shirts, pants and shorts, biker boots and sandals around the house, but mostly it is the time when we ask "Shall I put the skirt with or without stockings?" "Which hosiery can I wear in Spring?" Which hosiery do I wear with those Summer shoes?"

I still see too many women walking around with the wrong colored hose paired with the wrong colored skirt or shorts. Today I would like to give my opinion on which hosiery is suitable for Spring and the "mid-season" in general .

Nude Hosiery

Making a fashion statement with nude hosiery can be found on women's legs everywhere nowadays, and it is hard to go wrong with these as they match the Spring look. They are also useful to don for different occasions and styles, but be careful, if they are fairly casual styles, do not go well with the elegant look. They go well with with summer boots, cut out boots, and are very comfortable with Mary Jane's, On the other hand, they do not go well with sandals, open toe or peep toe shoes. They do pair well with casual, country, daytime, romantic attire but they do not pair well with very elegant clothes or an evening outfit.

Fishnet Hosiery

Unlike the aforementioned nude hosiery, fishnet hosiery  is more suitable for evening looks,  and goes well with both stylish or casual attire. The right shoes should resemble the color of your skin tone;  peep toe (and not open toe) shoes in certain cases are permitted. It is also a good idea to have the knee or ankle stockings  matching the color of the neckline when you are wearing jeans or pants

Textured and Tattoo Hosiery

Last and not least is the hosiery that is proposed in the Spring collections. As these stockings are less "classic" you can indulge the most.  I personally like the designs with polka dots and contrasting tattoo effect, embroidered net as part of the theme, those with micro polka dots...etc

This is just my personal point of view but at the end of the day,  there is not a precise rule on  how to match hosiery, with the rest of your attire. So we have to rely on common sense, good taste and your style.
