The name Spanx seems so original; In a recent interview she affirmed, I knew Kodak and Coca-Cola are among the most recognized products in the world. I knew from research that made-up words do better for products than real words and are easier to trademark, so I changed the name to Spanx and trademarked it online.

Her product lines all have catchy names: For instance: Hide and Sleek, is a line of silky camis, slips, and panties that firm and tone.

With her new line of body shaping hose the company quickly sold 50,000 pairs in the first three months. Tens of thousands of persons have since benefited from her wonder body slimming inventions. None other than Oprah Winfrey loves them and wears them every day! The celebreties call Spanx "the secret weapon on the Red Carpet."
