Tights and Hose with Open-Toed Shoes

Open-Toed Shoes
There's a Shoe Myth claiming that one shouldn't wear tights or hose with Open-Toed Shoes;
I don't know about you, but I love to wear hose with open toe shoes. Although I’m a fan of pantyhose I do also love opaque tights and print stockings.

But whatever your hosiery preference is, you've most likely shied away from leg wear due to the fact that bare legs have been "in," during the summer and someone might have even told you that you should never wear hosiery with open-toed shoes.

This advice might be great if we dwelled in a world free of varicose veins and bruises in which we all cherished our legs; and in which we never got cold. But that's not the world the majority of us live in. As a matter of fact, it's a world some of us have never even gone to see.

It’s true, it doesn't create a polished, professional, sexy or even marginally attractive look to see bunched up pantyhose sticking out the ends of your shoes, however it just means we need to wear them well.

More than a few women have doubts about wearing toeless or "open toed" hose, and pantyhose with sandal toes or sheer toes are viable options as well. As far as tights go, look for styles that don't have reinforced toes.

And the Get ahead of the fashion curve! Hosiery and tights are one of the strongest trends in the fashion world today. And the best thing about it, you don’t have to wait for six months to get it. There waiting for you to be bought and tried out for those beautiful summer days.

Whether you’re not ready yet to show off your legs or just want to change your look without a whole change of your wardrobe, hosiery offers full coverage opaques to fishnets, lace and whatever kind of brand or style you desire.

Who knew a pair of tights could predict just how bad this financial crisis will get? But with this financial crisis, it seems we gals are opting instead for reasonably priced hosiery purchases.

Consistent with the Wall Street Journal, women are updating their wardrobe ready for the holidays with opaque and patterned tights rather than investing in new skirts and sweaters, causing the "hosiery index" to be on the rise.

I know I've been purchasing more than a few pairs of tights to help get more mileage out of my summer dresses. What about you gals and guys? Have you been buying more tights? Do you think hosiery is the new lipstick of fashion purchases? Do you think this new index is as dependable as the old one?
