Pantyhose are an essential part of the uniform and are to be worn anytime the Hooters Girl uniform is worn. The only color that can be worn is Suntan. You may go a shade darker if your skin color is darker than the Suntan pantyhose color. You may not wear a shade lighter than Suntan.
So, as said before, nothing has actually changed in appearance since hooters was born. This lack of change is understandable given the tremendous success the Hooters concept has been enjoyed by men and women since the whole thing started. Hooters has continued to rank high amongst the industry's growth leaders. It has proven booming in small-town America, major metropolitan areas and worldwide.
The component of female sex appeal is widespread in the restaurants, and the company believes the Hooters Girl is as socially acceptable as a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader, Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, or a Radio City Rockette. The Hooters system employs over 25,000 people - over 15,000 of which are Hooters Girls. The "nearly world famous" Hooters Girls are the keystone of the Hooters concept, and as part of their job, these all-American cheerleaders make promotional and charitable appearances in their respective communities. I personally think the Hooters girls’ outfits are an extraordinary symbol of American sexuality. The waitresses are sexualized, but not really. The outfits give emphasis to breasts, legs and behind but not really. If you take a closer look you can see that the uniform includes thick, non-sheer fleshy-colored pantyhose. They are all wearing thick, padded bras. Because, huge breasts and cleavage at a “family restaurant” are hip, but everything is contained in the outfit. They are more like living dolls than anything that would actually prove to be sexually stimulating in any way.

One final note: The incredibly shiny suntan pantyhose the Hooter’s waitresses are wearing are probably made by Peavey. That makes me want to try on the hooters outfit to see how I look.... I have a friend who works as a hooter maybe I'll go and pay her a visit today....
