In 1987 Karan jumped into the very aggressive hosiery business, sure that women would be willing to spend more money for better quality hosiery. Critics balked, but Karan and partner Hanes developed hosiery that was twice as thick and twice as expensive as what was currently on the market. Customers were really willing to pay for the quality and Karan's hosiery products were well acknowledged. Within five years the company was selling more than $30 million in hosiery to wholesalers.I have used two kinds of her hosiery. The first one, Donna Karan Hosiery Style A19 is Ultra-sheer pantyhose, Control top that shapes tummy and waist, and has an invisible reinforced toe. Like all of Donna Karan hosiery the "nudes" are fabulous. They feel great and actually do look like your legs are bare. From the time I found Donna Karan hosiery I haven't been able to wear any other brand. Like all of Donna Karan’s hosiery, this one stands out. The bonus is a beautiful sleek line under any outfit. If you're willing to pay the price, you'll love your legs! They come in several shades that actually match your skin tone. The only bad thing about them is the high price and they won't last more than three or four times before running but if you have to wear hose at work and you don't want to look like you are, then these are the best you can get. The sheer to waist design is comfortable and the hose are silky smooth and so natural looking that others do not even know I am wearing pantyhose. When I wear these people don't know it - I've gotten compliments on how smooth my legs look even when they're positively hairy!
The second kind of pantyhose I tried out was Donna Karan Hosiery Body Perfect Waist Embrace 0A057 Donna Karan Hosiery is a Waist Embrace mid-thigh shaper that I found unlike any other in the lingerie market place. It has been engineered to deliver comfortable control for the entire mid-section. This shaper is designed to fit just under the bra line for added spot toning on the entire tummy area. it has an invisible waistband that fits comfortably and gently and hugs the body, staying securely in place. This seamless Donna Karan Hosiery has innovative thermal-bonded tummy panel which provides additional enhanced spot toning on the entire front waistline.
These pantyhose are amazing for helping with my crazy midline and it's comfortable and doesn't ride. I think it's much better than other shapewear. They are so comfortable, my clothes glide on. If you're experiencing rolling, you may be wearing a size too small. I much prefer this body shaper to Spanx. I could wear it all day. There were no bulges even on the legs. Seamless and comfortable I also saw it on Oprah being worn with pants and got it to wear with my work slacks. I tried them on skirts too and I had no issues with them.
I love her hosiery. If you're willing to pay the price, you'll love your legs!
