The Right Wedding Hosiery for the Right Wedding

Getting married is a responsibility, and I mean that it's a lot of responsibility. What I imply is that there is so much to know, keep track of and do that no one can be expected to pick it up overnight. They should have training courses for newly-engaged couples or at the very least possibly a checklist. I haven't come up with one myself yet, but I did just remember yet another thing that should be on it: Hosiery.

Now, wedding hosiery can be as easy as buying your normal style and color or as engaged as preparing every feature of the hosiery that you will be wearing. If you leave this decision until the last minute then, in all probability, you will be wearing what you constantly wear. Clearly that's no good. Take the time to think about this early on since you will have more choices at that point.

I remember my wedding attire wasn’t complete without the right hosiery for the occasion.
I had a pair of white Sheer stockings with lace top and wedding bell design up the side and a white satin garter featuring a chiffon ruffle, a satin bow and two silver-tone heart charms. I remember my husband having to get it off my leg with his teeth in front of the guests and that was funny because it was tight and didn’t want to come off!

Nowadays, some brides design a particular pair of hose at hosiery specialty stores, on hand online or at selected locations. Flimsy lace, shiny pearls, glistening rhinestones, satin bows, creative monogramming, and sheer nylon are all offered as added effects to one of the most personal items that the bride will be wearing.

In our day, the bride can have the ankle of her hosiery monogrammed with her initials or name. Moreover, a small rose can be added below the initials for a pleasant delicate touch of beauty. Thigh highs with satin bows or ruffled lace at the tops provide that feminine feel that every bride wishes to have.

Back seams with delicately small gleaming pearls or vivid sparkly rhinestones give a stylish look that adds to the total effect of the wedding attire. An anklet of interwoven flowers, a speckled pearl effect, a full lacey pattern, a spotted dappling of rhinestones, or a delicate fishnet design are all excellent options for the ideal hosiery for the wedding day. Personalize your wedding hosiery for a special look for that special day.
